It all began in the 90s when he dove headfirst into the world of winemaking. Thirteen years of discoveries and hard work shaped his expertise and his desire to craft wine. Then, in 2001, came the turning point: Jérôme took over his father’s vineyards in Gétigné, breathing new life into a terroir that needed a real boost.

Step by step, Domaine Bretaudeau took shape, ushering in a new era for Muscadet.

Today, with a few hectares of vineyards spread across four communes, Jérôme Bretaudeau has become a true icon of the "Pays Nantais" wine region. His talent and dedication have not gone unnoticed: he was named Winemaker of the Year 2025 by La Revue du Vin de France (LARVF)—a well-deserved accolade for this passionate artisan.
