It all begins with a simple visit to the renowned winemaker Nicolas Bonnet, in the heart of the Geneva countryside.
This excursion, initially a professional one, quickly takes an unexpected turn.

One November morning, in the midst of our passionate pursuit, we are warmly welcomed by Nicolas, the soul of the Domaine de la Comtesse Eldegarde.
His love for the winemaking craft is palpable, and from the very first moments, we sense that something exceptional is in the making.

Within his cellar, surrounded by a soothing jazzy melody, we discuss his exceptional wines and his unique approach.
Always in search of the finest gems, as true diggers, we try our luck to secure a few bottles. However, that's when the dilemma arises: obtaining bottles from this domain proved to be quite a challenge due to limited quantities and the domain's strict allocation system.

Through our visits and unwavering determination, a somewhat crazy idea emerges.
Nicolas Bonnet, an outstanding winemaker, makes an unexpected proposal:
To use his new Chenin Blanc vines to create our very own cuvée.
This was an opportunity we couldn't let slip away, much to the delight of the WINEDIGGER community.

To bring this special cuvée to life, Nicolas Bonnet naturally wanted Cave de Genève, renowned for its expertise and professionalism, to be involved in this extraordinary project.
It was clear that we should surround ourselves with the best and pay tribute to Nicolas, who had dedicated over two decades of his life to Cave de Genève.
Thus, Winedigger Chenin Blanc was born in 2021, marked by friendship and deep respect among all parties.

This thrilling adventure marks the beginning of an unprecedented collaboration, a fusion of talent and passion in our quest for excellence.
Under the WINEDIGGER banner, we uniquely and dynamically spotlight the starting point of our shared story.
This Chenin Blanc means a lot to us, and we are thrilled to share it with all of you!
